Your team knows how to sell.
Nobody taught them how
to sell into the NHS.
Four packages. One keeps every rep current on what has changed. One teaches them how the NHS really works, built on your own products and your own territories. One puts a team that’s already trained in front of the people who actually make NHS buying decisions. One does both: the same day, built on the modules as its foundation, with everything the Expert Day proves on top.
The gap isn’t selling skill.
It’s everything around the sale.
Most people on a medical device or diagnostics team can sell. What they were never taught is the part that decides whether the sale happens: who inside an NHS organisation actually makes the decision, what each of those people is measured on, how the money moves, and what evidence has to exist before anyone can say yes. Here is what that costs, week to week, at rep level.
Not knowing who decides, who pays, who influences, or what that trust is already under pressure on. A well prepared call and a wasted one cost your business exactly the same in salary, mileage and diary time.
What closes it: Stakeholder Mapper, Help Me PrepareBeing asked how you compare with the product already on the shelf, and not knowing its NHS Supply Chain listing, its codes or its pack variants. The rep who can answer that in the room is the one who gets considered.
What closes it: product comparison, NPC and MPC codesA safety notice, a recall or a supply gap on a competitor’s product opens a short window where a trust is genuinely looking at alternatives. A rep who knows that morning has a reason to call. A fortnight later the switch has already happened.
What closes it: alerts, supply and recall desksProcurement cannot act on product features. They need the cost of the problem, how often it happens, what your product changes and what that is worth, in their language and against their scoring.
What closes it: value calculator, sustainability scoringNone of that is fixed by more selling training. It is fixed by knowing the system, having the information to hand, and being tested on whether you can actually do it in front of somebody who buys for a living. That is why this comes as four layers rather than one course.

Gold is a flat, all-inclusive price for the day, capped at ten delegates. Platinum bundles ten licences with the day at a saving against buying them separately. Email us and we’ll send current rates for your team size.
Why Platinum is the one we recommend. Bronze and Silver both make a rep better prepared. Only Platinum tells you whether it worked. Your team spends eight weeks working on your own portfolio and then takes it into a real buying conversation with a serving NHS buyer in the chair, so each person learns first hand what it takes and how their technique is actually landing. Nobody in that room is guessing what a buyer thinks. The buyer is sitting opposite them.
Already trained your team elsewhere? Gold gives you the same assessed day and twelve months’ Hub access for all ten delegates, without paying for modules they don’t need. Email us for the difference to step up to Platinum.
The Hub Corporate Licence.
The larger the team, the lower the cost per seat, and the band is a ceiling rather than a headcount, so you can grow into it without a second approval. Email us for current team pricing.
What every seat includes
An intelligence desk refreshed every hour. MHRA alerts, NICE guidance, NHS Supply Chain notices and NHS news, each read at source before it is written up. Supply and recall desks checked every morning. A weekly Rep’s Briefing by email covering what moved and the question to take into the account.
Stakeholder Mapper: decision maker, user, payer and clinical roles for a named trust, with the question to ask each one and a route to identifying the actual person. Who’s who, traced to source. How the NHS fits together, the Procurement Act 2023 and value based procurement, explained for a commercial audience.
Product comparison with NHS Supply Chain detail, NPC and MPC codes and pack variants, and the questions to ask that establish whether the difference matters in that account. Compare by speciality. Company intelligence reports across the supplier directory. Market share by category.
Framework Hub covering NHS Supply Chain, NHS SBS, Government Commercial Agency and NOE CPC: what each covers, when it expires and the route in. Contract award tracker, so you know what an account has just bought and when it comes round again. CPV code finder and NHS Supply Chain guide.
The Accelerator: a course they watch,
and work they actually do.
Has your team been trained how to sell, but never how to sell into the NHS? That is the gap this closes. It is not an induction course and it is not aimed at new starters. Louise delivers every module herself on video, talking to your sales managers and their reps: demonstrating the conversations, showing the objections as they come, and working through every step your reps face from the front door of the hospital to the car park. Then each module ends in a piece of work about your product, in that rep’s own territory, assessed and kept in their portfolio, so it compounds week on week.
The why: purpose, identity and mindset. Understanding your customer. Cold calling and gatekeepers. Storytelling in medical sales. Relationship-led selling. Pre-call preparation, discovery and qualifying. Value propositions and objection handling. Running your territory.
A 90 day territory plan for their own NHS patch, with their accounts prioritised, whitespace and growth opportunities and a model week. A stakeholder map per priority account, plotted by influence against engagement. A value case with the data behind it, plus a therapy-area one-pager. A pipeline audit across the six stages with coverage-ratio sizing. A cold-call opener, hook, bridge and ask. A patient story that lands. Structured discovery questions and worked objection handling. An ICS or procurement note for their region. A recorded roleplay as the capstone.
The portfolio pieces plus eight scored module assessments and workbooks. Progress and scores are visible per person, so a sales manager knows who has completed what and how they scored, rather than taking completion on trust.
A 90 day territory plan written about a real territory is a plan they work to on the Monday. A value case built on your actual product is one they take into an account that week. That is the difference between training that gets watched and training that gets used.
Team pricing available on request. Includes the full Hub for every user, and the programme as further modules release.
The Dragons’ Den for medical sales.
Can your sales people deliver?
Three experts in the room for a day, spanning commercial, clinical, specialist and senior procurement, talking openly about how they think, how they challenge a supplier and what they actually want from you. Your reps will not get that access anywhere else, and what they hear will probably surprise them.
Then they use it. One day, at your premises, for ten of your people, working on your products in your target accounts, and finishing with every rep individually assessed in a live buying meeting by the people who spent the morning telling them how the decision really gets made. Nobody is marked on effort. They are marked on whether the case would survive a buyer.
What the experts bring
Louise Hoult leads every day and carries the commercial lens. Two of the following three join her, covering clinical, specialist and senior procurement.
Twenty years in NHS procurement, from category management to running multi-trust tenders. Knows exactly how a purchase actually gets approved, and what stops one.
A registered nurse who built the sustainability assessment tool NHS buyers use to compare clinical products, and has published her own evaluation in the Nursing Times. She judges whether your evidence survives contact with a buyer.
Twenty five years in medical devices, from field rep to EMEA, with a patented device of his own, now working inside the NHS on innovation adoption. He tests whether your value case is worth anything.
Each rep takes your product into a six minute meeting with an expert in role as the category manager for a named target trust. The expert does not go easy, and arrives with challenges prepared from your own product information. Two rooms of five, so nobody sits through nine other people’s turns.
What they leave with, and what you receive
Their product’s complete commercial case. An individual assessment scored against five criteria by an NHS buyer and moderated against a recording of their own meeting. Three personal, dated recommendations written by someone who watched them work. The full pack with their completed worksheets, every source and tool used on the day, and their peers’ observations. A Certificate of Completion.
Every delegate’s assessment and recommendations. A team-level read: where the group is strong, where it is weak, and the two things that would move all of them. The portfolio finding, which is which of your claims would not survive a buyer and where your evidence is thin. And every delegate’s own commitments.
The five criteria are published to the room at the start, so nothing is a surprise: opened on the problem rather than the product; used the account’s own numbers; separated a cash saving from a capacity saving honestly; named what they could not evidence before being asked; and knew who they were actually talking to.
| How you buy it | Exactly what that covers |
|---|---|
| Platinum: the Accelerator Programme | Ten full Accelerator licences for twelve months, Hub included, plus the Expert Day for those ten. Bundled as a single purchase, priced against buying them separately — email for current rates |
| Gold: the Expert Day, standalone | One day, three experts in the room, up to ten of your team individually assessed, no Accelerator licences required. All inclusive, and it includes twelve months’ Hub access for all ten delegates. The same fee whatever the size of the team |
| The Expert Day, added to a Silver licence to build Platinum | The same day at the same fee, sitting on top of the eight modules and the territory work rather than standing alone |
| Each additional consecutive day at the same site (Platinum bookings) | For the next ten people. A team larger than ten needs one day per ten, so that every rep is still assessed individually rather than watching |
The Expert Day is sold two ways: built into Platinum alongside the eight modules and the territory work, or standalone as Gold for a team that’s already trained. Both include twelve months’ Hub access for the ten delegates. All inclusive either way: guest and speaker fees, expert travel, delivery, materials and the assessment all sit inside the fee. There are no add-ons and no extra charges. Ten delegates per day is deliberate: the assessment is individual and time boxed, so twenty people is two days. Email us for current pricing.
The Accelerator Programme.
Ten licences plus the Expert Day as the week eight capstone, as a single purchase. It is the version we steer clients towards, because the day is measurably better when the modules are already done, and because a dated assessment eight weeks out is the most effective completion incentive there is. The day is built on the foundations of the eight modules and the territory work; it is the icing on the cake, not the whole cake.
| Week | What happens |
|---|---|
| 0 | Licences issued and Hub access live for all ten. We check your company and product information and confirm your target accounts with you, once |
| 1 to 7 | The eight modules, self-paced, roughly half a day a week |
| 3 | Your product detail, named accounts and claims are confirmed and built into the day |
| 6 | Guest experts briefed on your portfolio and accounts, and the challenges prepared |
| 8 | The Expert Day. Every delegate assessed |
| 10 | Individual packs issued, sponsor report delivered |
The Accelerator Programme: Email for pricing
Bundled as one purchase, priced below buying the licences and the Expert Day separately — one number for one approval rather than two purchases in two budget lines.
Candidates who walk in
knowing the market, the
product, and what to expect.
Every candidate you place is different: someone trying to break into medical sales for the first time, a clinician moving into industry, an experienced rep going for a role in a new specialty, or a manager or director going for a role at a new company. What they all need before an interview is the same: real market intelligence, the training to sell in a space they haven’t sold in before, and, if their background is clinical, a way to translate it into commercial language. Three packages, built around those needs.
Four kinds of candidate.
One set of resources.
This isn’t a page for one type of candidate. It’s built for everyone you place into medical sales.
Candidates with no medical sales background, going for their first role in the industry and needing to learn how the sale actually works.
Clinicians moving from clinical practice into a commercial role, needing to translate their experience into a commercial interview answer.
Experienced medical sales people going for a role in a specialty they haven’t sold in before, needing to get current on a market they don’t already know.
Managers and directors going for a role at a new company, needing company and market intelligence to walk in credible at a senior level.
The Hub: intelligence for every specialty.
This is the part every candidate uses, whatever their background and whatever role they’re going for. It’s what turns interview prep from guesswork into research.
Stakeholder Mapper: KOLs, decision makers, users, payers and clinical roles for a named trust, with the question to ask each one. Who’s who, traced to source, so a candidate can name real people and real roles rather than speaking in generalities.
Company intelligence reports: what the business sells, who it competes against, its recent news and its position in the market. The detail behind a confident answer to “what do you know about us”, not a skim of the careers page.
Value Case Calculator and territory mapper: the tools behind the first-90-days or first-six-months plan candidates are so often asked to present at interview, built on real accounts and real numbers rather than guesswork.
Product comparison with NHS Supply Chain detail, codes and pack variants; market share by category; and the Framework Hub covering NHS Supply Chain, NHS SBS, Government Commercial Agency and NOE CPC, so a candidate knows the route a customer actually buys through.
MHRA alerts, NICE guidance and NHS Supply Chain notices, read at source and refreshed continuously, plus a weekly Rep’s Briefing by email. A candidate who can speak to what changed this week, in the room, reads as someone already doing the job.
The podcast library and contract award tracker sit alongside the core tools, so a candidate isn’t handed a single document before interview: they have a live resource they keep coming back to, before and after they’re placed.
What this actually does
for your placements.
This isn’t a perk for candidates. It changes three things that matter directly to a consultant’s numbers.
A candidate who knows the market, knows the product, and knows what to expect at interview performs better in the room. That moves your CV-to-offer conversion, not just how the candidate feels going in.
An employer who interviews a candidate that arrives with real market and company intelligence, a considered first-six-months plan and confident answers starts crediting the agency that sent them, not just the individual. That’s what gets you the next brief.
Access is open to every candidate you register, not gated behind a shortlist. That means you see, before you ever put someone in front of a client, who actually logs in, does the work and turns up prepared, and who doesn’t. It tells you who’s worth your time and your client’s.
A candidate who stays current after placement, knowing the latest framework, the latest change, the latest challenge a trust is facing, is the one who performs in role, not just in interview. That’s what gets a placement through probation rather than falling over at month four.

Two routes in.
One ladder of training.
Silver’s training covers the two different starting points candidates actually come from: no medical sales experience at all, or a clinical background with no commercial interview experience.
Purpose, identity and mindset. Understanding your customer. Cold calling and gatekeepers. Storytelling in medical sales. Relationship-led selling. Pre-call preparation, discovery and qualifying. Value propositions and objection handling. Running your territory.
A territory plan for their target patch, prioritised accounts and a model week. A stakeholder map plotted by influence against engagement. A value case with data behind it. A cold-call opener, hook, bridge and ask. Structured discovery questions and worked objection handling. A recorded roleplay as the capstone.
Eight scored module assessments and workbooks, so a candidate isn’t just told they’ve completed the training, they know how they scored on each piece of it.
Built specifically for candidates moving from clinical practice into industry: a structured, rehearsed answer to “why sales, and why now”, and how to describe clinical experience in commercial terms rather than clinical ones.
Interview Ready.
Then set up to stay.
Gold does two jobs. It gets a candidate through the interview with dedicated 1:1 support from Louise, and it keeps them supported for a full year afterwards, so the placement is more likely to survive probation rather than fail in month four.
Two one-hour sessions with Louise. Interview preparation specific to the role and company, help structuring and presenting the first-six-months plan, and sales roleplay so the candidate has practised the pressure before they face it for real.
Hub access continues for a full year, not just through the recruitment process. A candidate who stays current in role is one who is more likely to clear their six-month probation, which is exactly the point in the process where a placement is still at risk.

Coached from the other side of the table.
Anyone can rehearse interview answers with a candidate. Very few people have written the pack the interviewer is holding. Gold gives you guaranteed 1:1 coaching availability with someone who has spent a career on both sides of a medical sales hiring decision, for the priority candidates you choose.
The licence includes fifteen Interview Ready candidate places, each with two guaranteed one-hour private sessions with Louise: thirty hours of specialist 1:1 coaching reserved for you across the licence year. You choose which candidates get them, and when. Additional places can be purchased separately, subject to availability.
No two sessions are the same, because no two candidates are. Before the first session Louise looks at the actual role, the company and where that individual is weak, then builds the two hours around closing that specific gap. A confident clinician who cannot talk commercially gets a different session from a strong closer who has never been near an NHS procurement conversation. Interview preparation for that panel, the first-six-months plan for that patch, presentation coaching and sales roleplay under real pressure, weighted to whatever will actually win them the role.
Louise has been hired into medical sales and pharmaceutical roles, and has hired for them. She has sat in the chair your candidate is walking into, and she has sat in the one across from it, running the interview and scoring the answers. That is a different conversation from generic interview coaching, and candidates can feel the difference within the first ten minutes.
At her last company Louise designed the recruitment training for hiring managers, wrote the recruitment pack, designed the assessment criteria and the interview process itself, and hired the in-house recruiter. Your candidate is being prepared by the person who wrote the scoring sheet, so they understand what is actually being marked, not what they assume is being marked.
