Member Activity Monitoring
When you log in to the members’ area of this website, we automatically record information about how you use the training content — including the pages you view, the date and time of each visit, your approximate location, your IP address and the website you arrived from.
We use this information to monitor engagement with and completion of training, to improve our learning materials, and — where your place is funded or arranged by your employer or another organisation — to provide that organisation with reports on training usage.
Our lawful basis for this is our legitimate interests in delivering, monitoring and improving clinical training. Activity records are kept for one month and then deleted. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of this data, or object to this monitoring, by emailing contact@elevateandthrive.uk.
NHS Contact Information in the Medical Sales Hub
This section is for NHS staff whose details appear in the Medical Sales Hub, rather than for our own members and customers. If you work for an NHS trust and have found this page after being contacted by one of our members, this explains where your details came from and what you can ask us to do.
What we hold, and where we got it
The Medical Sales Hub includes a Stakeholder Mapper, a tool that helps our members understand who is involved in NHS purchasing decisions. Part of that tool lists contact names published on NHS trusts’ own public procurement notices.
We collect this from Find a Tender, the UK Government’s statutory public procurement notice service, using its open data interface. The information is published there by the contracting authority and is made available under the Open Government Licence v3.0. For each notice we record the contact name, work email address, work telephone number where given, the employing NHS organisation, and the title and date of the notice. We do not collect anything else about you, we do not buy or licence contact data from any other source, and we do not combine your details with information from social media or other websites.
Why we hold it, and our lawful basis
We hold it so that members of the Medical Sales Hub — people working in medical and pharmaceutical sales to the NHS — can identify the right person to approach about a specific procurement, and can approach them with something relevant instead of a cold, untargeted enquiry. Each entry is shown alongside the notice it came from, and members are instructed to reference that notice when they make contact.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — our interest, and our members’ interest, in making contact about procurement matters, using details that the contracting authority published for exactly that purpose. We have weighed this against your interests and consider it proportionate because the information is limited to work contact details, is already public, was published so that suppliers could make contact, and is used only for that purpose. It is never used for bulk or automated mailing, and it is not sold, licensed or shared with anyone outside the Hub.
Who can see it, and how long we keep it
It is visible only to subscribing members inside the Medical Sales Hub. We do not transfer it outside the UK. An entry is automatically deleted once the most recent notice it appeared on is more than 24 months old, so details do not linger after they have stopped being current.
Your rights
You can ask us to remove your details, correct them, or tell you what we hold, and because we rely on legitimate interests you also have the right to object to us holding them at all. Email contact@elevateandthrive.uk and we will remove you. Removal is permanent — we keep a suppression record of your name so that later updates cannot add you back — and we will confirm once it is done.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
